We aim to create a shopping destination where customers know they will receive exceptional, personal service and quality products whether it is gifts, fashion and accessories or food and coffee from our café.
Our story
We are Elaine and Geoff Munro and we have been the proud owners of Munro’s on Garden for 30 years.
Hailing from a sheep farming background in the Western District, we moved to Geelong with our then two small boys, aged six and three.
Munro’s on Garden is a unique one-stop-shop that incorporates our newsagency, post office, café and retail store all in the one building.
Our business has adapted as our community has changed and grown and we always ensure we keep reflecting on why we are here, who we are here for and what they need.
The relationships we have built with our customers and the community are highly valued and are seen as an extension of our own family.
Your part in our story
We are proud to be both contemporary while still holding some traditional ‘old-school’ values. This is demonstrated most personally through our annual Christmas letter. It defies the digital age with more than (and growing) 4,500 letters consistently handed out to customers to reflect on our year.
After 30 years in business, we remain committed to continue to find new opportunities with products and services. We continue to focus on moving forward and will never rest on our laurels!
We service customers from a wide catchment within and beyond Geelong including the Bellarine and Surf Coast, Colac and Ballarat and hope to build this even further.
